Detailed Certification Process Description

1. Candidate learns through BOKs, e-Learning, Accredited Training Provider, Other Training Providers, Published Books

• KINDUZ Books of Knowledge: The KINDUZ team is putting together, comprehensive, practical and easy to read Books of Knowledge. In addition, they are free. This is the first time in the world, that such books are being published free of cost.
• KINDUZ e-Learning: In addition to the BOKs, the KINDUZ team is spending a lot of effort to create e-Learning material. Again they are very practical and easy to follow. Needless to say, they are and will be once again free.
• Accredited Training Provider: KINDUZ does provide BOKs and e-Learning material. However, it still recommends going through a class-room training for better learning.
• Other Training Providers: There are a number of training providers in the industry. One needs to ensure that they are covering all the required concepts during the program. Refer Body of Knowledge of each certification for more details.

2. Candidate implements principles learnt

Any theoretical study, without practical implementation is a complete waste of time. KINDUZ does not recommend wasting time in such activities.

3. Candidate registers for the written examinations

Candidate registers for certification examination through the following means:

• Online registration
• Sending a Demand Draft payable in favor of ‘KINDUZ’ payable at Hyderabad, India
• Cash payment / wire transfer directly into the KINDUZ bank account. Please contact KINDUZ for bank account details
• Cheque draw in favor of ‘KINDUZ’ payable at Hyderabad, India. Outstation and International checks will require an additional processing fees. Please contact KINDUZ for details

4. KINDUZ issues exam voucher i.e. hall ticket

KINDUZ issues exam voucher through its headquarters. It is mandatory to receive the exam voucher to attend the Certification Examination. The exam voucher will contain:

• Your unique ID
• Address of the examination center
• Date of the examination
• Time of examination

5. KINDUZ issues complimentary membership for six months

KINDUZ issues a complimentary membership for six months. With this membership you can access critical articles, tools and techniques.

6. Candidate appears for the examination

The candidate appears for the examination at the Accredited Test Center. Showcasing the exam voucher is mandatory to be allowed to appear for the examination.

7. KINDUZ evaluates the examination answers

All examination papers are evaluated by KINDUZ at its headquarters only.

8. Communicate result to candidate

The minimum pass percentage is 80%. This is been set high, to ensure that rigorousness of the certification.
The result is communicated to the candidate via an e-mail.

9. Has the candidate cleared the exam?

If the candidate does not clear the examination, he/she can re-register as in Step 3. The board has decided that there will be no reduction in the amount paid during re-registration.

10. Dispatch certificate

If the candidate clears the exam, the certificate is dispatched through post / courier. These certificates are only sent through the society headquarters.

11. Candidate first receives news, then the certificate

The candidate first receives the news about him/her clearing the exam via an e-mail, and then receives the certificate over post / courier.

12. Candidate registers for interview

While the examination tests both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills, a written examination has its limitations in testing the practical skills.

To do an independent and effective assessment of the skills of a candidate, KINDUZ interviews the candidate in a one hour pre-defined face-to-face / video-conference based session.

This second level of the certification can be taken up at any time after clearing the first level certification. There is no time limit.

The candidate will have to schedule this interview with society headquarters, over an e-mail or phone, based on the mutual availability of the candidate

There will be no additional cost for taking up this second level certification.

KINDUZ strongly recommends candidates to prepare well and use tools and techniques well, before appearing for the interview.

13. Candidate is interviewed by Board Representatives

14. Communicate result to candidate

The minimum pass percentage in the interview is 75%. The board believes that if you know how to practically implement 75% of the subject, then the rest 25% can be learnt by taking help from other experts,reading books, and on-the-job.
The result is communicated to the candidate via an e-mail.

15. Has the candidate cleared the interview?

If the candidate clears the interview, move to step 15, else move to step 12.

The candidate can re-register for the interview by paying a fee of USD 75/- or INR 3000/-.

16. Dispatch Final Certificate

If the candidate clears the exam, the certificate is dispatched through post / courier. These certificates are only sent through the society headquarters.

17. Candidate first receives news, and then the Final certificate

The candidate first receives the news about him/her clearing the interview via an e-mail, and then receives the Final certificate over post / courier.

While it is important to acquire the skills, it is equally important to implement them and deliver outcomes. IVOV or Implementation Verification and Outcomes Validation is a process to assess the implementation of tools and techniques undertaken by you, and the outcomes you have delivered. Implementation can be either in a form of projects or by employing tools and techniques listed in the Body of Knowledge in your day-to-day activities. IVOV is undertaken at the following instances:

• Stage 1 IVOV : During the certification process
• Stage 2 IVOV : Post the certification process, each year for maintaining the certification

During the IVOV, you present your story about the implementation undertaken and outcomes delivered to a Subject Matter Expert (SME). As discussed above, IVOV is a yearly process to keep your certificate alive. Going through IVOV on a yearly basis will help in imbibing the concepts better, as implementing the concepts will be teach you a lot more than theory lessons can ever teach. It is highly recommended to keep practicing the acquired knowledge and skills on regular basis and keep gaining benefits.

Following are the key characteristics of the IVOV process :

• IVOV is to be submitted in the form of a presentation. You are requested to submit the IVOV as per predefiened template, which can be downloaded from here
• The IVOV can be taken up at any time after clearing the assessment
• There is no additional cost for the IVOV
• The IVOV is undertaken via the following methods
  • Stage 1 IVOV : via a face-to-face meeting / video-conference call / telephonic call between yourself and LASSIB Society’s Subject Matter Experts (SME)
  • Stage 2 IVOV : via an offline review. Randomly selected individuals will also undergo a face-to-face meeting / video-conference call / telephonic call between yourself and LASSIB Society’s Subject Matter Experts (SME)
• The IVOV typically lasts for 1 hours to 1.5 hours
• Candidates are requested to get in touch with the LASSIB Society team, who will schedule your IVOV with a LASSIB Society SME, based on mutual availability
• The IVOV process is a very rigorous, and assesses the implementation and outcomes delivered in depth. Hence we recommend that you are well prepared

The IVOV Process is as follows:

1. You are have completed the implementation of concepts learnt and delivered outcomes
2. Download the IVOV Case Template from here and fill in the required details
3. Send an Email to LASSIB Society with the filled in IVOV Template (please embed all the additional information such as data, graphs as the need might be, in the presentation itself) requesting for an IVOV assessment
4. The IVOV is assessed
5. LASSIB Society will send the report on the IVOV to you via an Email
6. If you successfully clear the IVOV:
   • Stage 1 IVOV : You will receive your certificate
     • A provisional certificate will be dispatched to you online within 2-3 working days
   • Stage 2 IVOV :You will receive an email extending your certification by one more year
7. If you are not able to clear the IVOV, you are informed accordingly and asked to setup a fresh IVOV discussion as per step number 3
