Job Description Valuation of Companies

  • Collect historical company data and organize them in relevant formats
  • Perform industry research, analyse assets, such as stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities
  • Interprets data, such as company financial statements, price developments, currency adjustments and yield fluctuations
  • Forecast of cash flows, revenue, profitability
  • Forecast P&L Statement and Balance Sheets
  • Undertake valuations using the following sample methods:
    • Dividend yield method
    • Earnings method
    • Net asset method
    • Discounted cash flow method
    • VC Discounting method
    • Comparables
  • Calculate various financial ratios such as P/E ratios
  • Create presentations and documents to share with investors

Investor Relations and Raising Investments

  • Identify and qualify investors and analysts
  • Build and Maintain relations with investors and analysts
  • Build and Maintain relations with stockbrokers, fund managers and stock market traders
  • Talk to investors to rise debt funding and equity funding
  • Investor relations and fundraising
  • Set up meetings for discussions
  • Sound knowledge in financial reporting, regulatory, taxing authority and stakeholder investment compliance.
Self Performance Tracking
  • Specific Lead Metrics and Lag Metrics will be defined for each role in discussion with the Leadership team, to ensure alignment of work with the Organization Goals
  • These need to be tracked by one-self and the status reported against each Lead and Lag Metric, in the monthly Self Development Report (SDR) that is created, reviewed, finalized and filed on a monthly basis

Education
  • Mandatory
    • Post-Graduation/MBA with specialization in finance
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or other equivalent degree
  • Preferred
    • CFA Level I / II / III Certified
